Welcome to Mt. Gilead Camp and Conference Center, a Christian retreat nestled in the heart of the Pennsylvania Poconos. Located directly behind Camelback Ski Mountain, our 175-acre property offers a serene environment ideal for spiritual growth, team building, and personal reflection.
Our Mission
Established over 60 years ago, Mt. Gilead has been committed to providing exceptional Christian summer camp programs for girls aged 6 to 17. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment where campers can play, learn, and grow while participating in activities such as archery, swimming, riflery, drama, high ropes, horsemanship, and canoeing.
Facilities and Amenities
From August 15th to June 15th, our retreat center is available for group rentals, accommodating up to 130 guests. Our facilities include:

Outdoor Recreation: Basketball court, volleyball court, expansive gaga court, soccer field, fishing and boating pond, and 175 acres of hiking trails.

Indoor Spaces: Heated and air-conditioned lodges, cabins, and meeting spaces equipped with audio-visual equipment and overhead projectors for presentations, worship sessions, or movies.
Activities and Team Building
We offer a variety of activities designed to promote team cooperation, problem-solving, and communication, including:

Guided Team Building: High and low ropes courses, archery, riflery, and guided canoe trips.

Seasonal Activities: In spring, summer, and fall, guests can enjoy our large swimming pool, bass pond for fishing, canoeing, paddle boating, sand volleyball court, multi-sports field, and large group bonfire pit. During winter months, our proximity to Camelback Ski Mountain allows for ski retreats, and our heated indoor recreation hall is perfect for group activities and games.
