Welcome to Mt. Gilead! We are a Christian summer camp and retreat center located directly behind Camelback Ski Mountain in the heart of the Pennsylvania Poconos. Our retreat center operates between August 15th to June 15th (our summer camp occupies our summer months)! With a large basketball court, swimming pool, huge gaga court, volleyball court, soccer field, fishing & boating pond, hiking trails and beautiful indoor meeting spaces; Mt. Gilead makes a great venue for church, school and non-profit retreats. Our group pricing is one of the most affordable in the Pocono Mountains. At Mt. Gilead Retreat Center, we pride ourselves on offering versatile facilities tailored to meet the diverse needs of various groups. Guest Houses: Ideal for small to medium-sized groups, our guest houses offer private rooms with shared common areas, fostering a sense of community while ensuring personal space.
Group Lodging: Designed for larger groups, these accommodations feature shared bunk rooms that promote team building and camaraderie.
Private Cabins: Our private cabins are perfect for family events like family camps or parent / child retreats. Cabins are also perfect for separating boys and girls sleeping arrangements during events. Each one of our 13 private cabins can sleep 8 people, and each have heat + AC and private full bathrooms with unlimited hot water for showering.

Plan a Group Outing

We strive to keep our prices as low as possible so families, churches and groups on a budget are able to use our facilities. At Mt. Gilead, we only book one group at a time, meaning your group will not be sharing facilities or meals any other rental group.

Our lodging is flexible! From private guest houses to small quaint cabins to larger bunk style dorms, we can accommodate your large or small group. Many of our meeting spaces are included free with your stay. Mt. Gilead has many group activities available for teams to get involved in, either on their own or with a Mt. Gilead certified instructor.
